“Being Mandela” is a new reality show on COZI TV that stars two of Nelson Mandela’s granddaughters, Swati Dlamini and Zaziwe Dlamini-Manaway. The show follows the next generation of this unique South African family through the experiences of sisters Swati and Zaziwe, giving viewers a glimpse into their daily lives, tight-knit family, conflicts and personal aspirations.

We talked to Swati and Zaziwe about their experiences on the show, visiting their grandfather’s cell on Robben Island, and how they honor his legacy.
