SNL head writer Colin Jost will make his debut as co-anchor of Weekend Update this Saturday on SNL. Following Seth Meyer’s exit to host “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Jost says he’s nervous but excited to take his seat at the desk alongside co-anchor Cecily Strong.
“I think it will be fun to be out there [on set] having worked together [with Cecily] behind the scenes for so long,” Jost told us in an interview.
Jost famously wrote for popular characters on SNL Weekend Update, including fan favorite Drunk Uncle (played by cast member Bobby Moynihan) and The Girl You Wish You Hadn’t Started a Conversation With at a Party (who is played by Strong). Jost will make his debut this weekend on “Saturday Night Live” on NBC with host Jim Parsons and musical guest Beck.
Check out the video below to see Cecily Strong and Colin Jost – and their obvious comedic chemistry – talk about anchoring together for the first time this weekend, and their special message to Lorne Michaels.

“Chicago P.D.” is back! Tune into NBC tonight for a brand new episode of the riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s District 21. District 21 is made up of two distinctly different groups: the uniformed cops who patrol the beat and go head-to-head with the city’s street crimes, and the Intelligence Unit that combats the city’s major offenses – organized crime, drug trafficking, high profile murders and beyond. The vast responsibilities that these jobs entail extend far beyond the walls of the precinct, often taking an emotional toll on personal lives of these men and women.

When Marcus Lemonis isn’t running his multi-billion dollar company, Camping World, he goes on the hunt for struggling businesses that are desperate for cash and ripe for a deal. In the past 10 years, he’s successfully turned around over 100 companies. Now he’s bringing those skills to CNBC and doing something no one has ever done on TV before … he’s putting millions of dollars of his own money on the line. In each episode, Lemonis makes an offer that’s impossible to refuse; his cash for a piece of the business and a percentage of the profits. And once inside these companies, he’ll do almost anything to save the business and make himself a profit; even if it means firing the president, promoting the secretary or doing the work himself.
All new episodes of “The Profit” begin TONIGHT at 10p ET/PT on CNBC.
